Great turn out for the Anti-Violence March. Great effort by march organizers. Thanks to the police for the fantastic support and protection offered throughout the March. It's really sad when you march, knowing that a 19 year old would have been able to march just 3 weeks prior if he had not been mistaken for a gang member in a gang-retaliation incident at the heart of Pilsen, right in from of a pre-school and a public library. Police and citizens need to work hand in hand, consistently, daily - to make our streets safer in 60608. RIP, Jeff Maldonado Jr. (J-Def)
